A very merry social media Christmas to you all

Blenheim lake iced over Dec 10

I’ve met up with people I’ve only known on FourSquare so far and tweeted others to join us. I’ve seen all your Christmas Trees and decorations on my Facebook page ‘In appreciation of Christmas Trees’. I’ve watched my children going out in the morning all bundled up and coming home in the dark all frozen and flushed and aimed my webcam outside so that my relations in far off climes can see the snow angles they’ve left on the road in front of the house. Snow in Africa and good news for blogs

There’s only nine days to go to Christmas now (including Christmas Day that is) and I’m feeling peaceful.

I’ve been trawling through the news and forums looking for some good news but alas, there is little to be had except for the delight of children’s nativity plays and the visits to the panto. It’s a sad old world out there at the moment.

good-and-bad-286x300

Every now and then I get a bit of negative feedback on my blog. I hate that but it’s a necessary learning curve. None of us like getting negative feedback but sometimes it does one good. For example a broken link can be fixed quickly if you’re told about it. So whilst it may have annoyed the complainant, you’re now in a position to amend it and alter (read more)

Resigning a social media client for non engagement

Christmas Tree 2010 019

I’ve recently had to let a client go. As you can imagine this is not something I chose to do lightly. This client is in the service industry and usually has to shake many hands to keep the work flowing. We began a social media campaign for this small business five months ago. A definitive strategy was established and online visibility has increased steadily as per (read more)
