Retailers use coupons on Twitter to drive sales

You can experiment with coupons on Twitter as way of increasing customer engagement, and sales. Companies are now tweeting Twitter-exclusive coupons for customers to print out and redeem at their favorite tasti location. They create specific codes for each coupon that are entered into the point of sale cash registers at retail chain locations to enable the tracking of coupon conversions and the resulting sales.

What a stunning day! I can’t begin to tell you just what a great day I had with the other 65 ladies (okay two were men) at Blenheim Palace in the Orangery.

Social Media: Daily to do list

Clients ask me what task they should tackle first when using social media applications as part of their overall marketing strategy.

The answer is, that it is different for each business. For example, I offer a service and I prefer to ensure that my blog is updated rather than worrying about my first tweet. For others it’s definitely Twitter first.

My advice, if you were to look at each application would be the following:

1. Make sure your blog has something new and fresh at least 3 – 4 times a week.
